What it is

• Any color that any chromatic content would be considered achromatic
• Near neutrals are any hue or lightness of:
  • Brown
  • Tan
  • Pastel
  • Dark Colors
• Pure achromatic colors are:
  • Black
  • White
  • All Grays

How its used

• Neutrals are obtained by mixing pure colors with white, black and all types of gray
• Neutral colors can be modified by adjacent saturated colors
• Black and white, combine well with almost every color
• Black decreases the saturation or brightness of paired colors
• White shows off the hues and colors

On games people always refer to the game Limbo as it uses very good this color scheme

On Limbo we have the background being white while the foreground is being grey, and the main focus being black
